Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event Benefits Mohawk Hudson Humane Society

The Town of Colonie Landfill hosted a household hazardous waste collection event and landfill open house. The Town of Colonie Landfill team was joined by their friends at the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society who brought along adoptable pets. Waste was accepted from the City of Cohoes, Town of Halfmoon, Town of Waterford, and the Town of Colonie and at the end of the day, donated $5,000 to the MHHS.

The next generation of waste management professionals spent some time with our seasoned experts! Town of Colonie Landfill employees were proud to talk to the students about landfill operations and show them the ropes.

Animal Rescue Tour Visit and Donation

Members of the Town of Colonie Landfill team presented the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society with a donation from our Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event and got to meet some adoptable pets! Looking forward to making this annual event a continued success!
